Uthamaputhiran Movie Story:
Siva (Dhanush), a fun-loving youngster and a do-gooder, lives in a big family. His helping tendency makes him one day to kidnap Pooja (Genelia), a bride, from the marriage hall. Only after abducting her he realises that she is not the girl he wanted to take away. However, Pooja is happy about being kidnapped as she was going through a forced marriage. With all options being ruled out, Siva now takes Pooja to his house. A small lie and she is there. There is one Ekambaram (Vivek), an accountant in Siva’s house, who tickles the funny bone. Eventually Siva and Pooja fall for each other and what follows is a happy ending.
